Digital Drywood is Cory LaNou’s business and content website. This policy explains how we handle information through the website and Digital Drywood Publishing, our integration for publishing to and reviewing the performance of our LinkedIn Page.

You can read this policy without an account or signing in to LinkedIn.

Information we receive

  • Website visitors. Our server receives connection and request information when you visit, including your network address, requested URL, and request time. Request logs record the request, response status, response size, and processing time. Third-party resources on a page also receive information from your browser when they load.
  • People contacting us. We receive the name, email address, optional phone number, message, service interest, and project details you submit, such as timeline, organization size, training interests, or existing website information. The contact form sends your reCAPTCHA response and IP address to Google for verification. Your inquiry is delivered to our business inbox through our email service.
  • Newsletter subscribers. If you subscribe through our linked Sender.net form, Sender.net processes the information you provide, including your email address, to manage your subscription and deliver our newsletter.
  • Signed-in users. WorkOS provides authentication. We process your account identifier, email address, name, profile image URL, access role, login information, and session credentials. Account records are stored for access management. Login and session refresh requests send your IP address and browser user-agent information to WorkOS.
  • Authorized publishing users. Digital Drywood Publishing processes the configured LinkedIn Page identifier, authorized credentials, draft and published content, post identifiers and links, publication status and timestamps, and available Page/post performance data. This information comes from our operators and LinkedIn.

How we use information

We use inquiry information to respond to questions and discuss requested services; subscription information to send newsletters; and account and session information to provide access to protected tools. We use request and operational logs to run the site, diagnose errors, and investigate abuse or access problems.

Digital Drywood Publishing uses authorized LinkedIn access to publish our Page posts and accompanying comments, keep publication records, avoid duplicate posts, and help our operators understand content performance. When available through authorized API access, analytics include impressions, clicks, likes, comments, shares, follower counts, and organic and paid follower gains.

Service providers and sharing

Information is processed by the services involved in the feature you use: our website hosting and email services, Google reCAPTCHA for spam checks, WorkOS for account access, Sender.net for newsletters, and LinkedIn for Page publishing and analytics. Our operators can access information needed to respond to inquiries and administer these services.

The website loads Google Fonts and software from the unpkg and jsDelivr content delivery networks. Public pages load Sender.net’s subscription script, and some articles embed YouTube videos. These providers receive browser requests, including network and browser information, when their resources load. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.

Our publishing tools also offer AI-assisted drafting through Anthropic’s Claude. When an operator uses that feature, article and video links, the article title and summary, and the operator’s drafting instructions are sent to Claude to generate social copy.

Content we publish to our LinkedIn Page, including accompanying comments and links, is public on LinkedIn. LinkedIn handles information on its platform under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and browser storage

Signing in uses an authentication-state cookie and an encrypted session cookie named dd_session to maintain account access. The site also reads a theme preference from browser storage. Third-party features such as reCAPTCHA, Sender.net, and YouTube may use cookies or similar browser storage under their own policies.

You can manage cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Blocking them may affect sign-in or third-party features. The text of this policy is available without cookies or JavaScript.

LinkedIn authorization and access

Digital Drywood Publishing is an internal tool for Digital Drywood’s authorized operators. Its website controls require administrator access; programmatic publishing requires an authorized API key. Visiting the public website does not connect your LinkedIn account.

Where API access is configured and permitted by LinkedIn, the integration uses access tokens and, when provided, refresh tokens, permission scopes, and expiry information. Credentials are stored in server configuration or a restricted server-side token file and are used to authenticate requests and renew access. API publishing and analytics are available only when the required LinkedIn permissions have been granted.

The integration also supports publishing through a separately authenticated browser session operated by Digital Drywood. In that mode, LinkedIn login cookies remain in the operator’s browser profile and the tool uses that session to publish and verify Page content.

You can remove an app’s authorization using LinkedIn’s permitted-services settings, as described in LinkedIn’s instructions for removing third-party access. Revoking an app’s API authorization does not sign out a separate LinkedIn browser session. To stop browser-based access, sign out of that session and ask us to disable its use.

To request removal of credentials or information held by Digital Drywood, contact us at the address below. Removing authorization does not itself erase our stored publication records or remove posts already published on LinkedIn.

Retention and deletion

Different records are kept in different systems: inquiries in email, subscriptions with our newsletter provider, account and publication records in our application storage, credentials in server configuration or token storage, and request information in operational logs. Publication records and metric snapshots remain available for later review; token renewal replaces stored credentials when refreshed credentials are returned.

Deletion requests are handled manually. Contact us to ask what information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, or ask us to stop using a LinkedIn connection. Please identify the email address, account, Page, or post involved so we can locate the relevant records. We may need to confirm your identity or authority over the account before acting. We will discuss the request and any limits that apply to the records involved.

For information held directly by a third-party service, use that provider’s privacy controls or request process as well. Deleting information from our systems does not itself delete information held by LinkedIn or another provider.

For privacy questions or requests to access, correct, or delete information, email info@digitaldrywood.com. Include enough detail for us to understand your request. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or other credentials.
